Removing Local-Styles from a drawing template

Removing Local-Styles from a drawing template

My DWG-templates uses a lot of Styles and I want to reduce the amount of Local-Styles.

Some of the Styles that are showing are wrong and my draftsmen shouldn't choose these styles.

Those Styles that are created in the past, courses a lot of misstakes.

So I want to change the styles of my lines and text  (Title Block – Edit definition).

At this moment, it lookes like I have to draw again.

Kind regards, Fred Bellekom

Can you use the 'Purge styles' option from the manage tab?

Dear Paul,

You can only succesfull use "Purge Styles", if the Style is not in use.

I want to combine the objects that use those Styles to ONE Style.

But I get no option to do "Change Style" when I'm selecting an object.

But thanks for your respons,

Hi Fred,

So what you would like is the following, similar to what we find in AutoCAD.

You would like to be able to right mouse click on geometry in the drawing and have the option to "Change Style".

Once you had moved all the geometry to the Styles you want to keep, then you could Purge the old styles.

Is that correct?

Cheers

Jon.

Hey Jon,

That's correct.

Thanks, Fred

Hi

in the Style and Standard Editor it is possible to right click in a Style and there is an option to Replace Style. A dialog box opens and allows you to select the new existing style (for the objects) and also to purge the previous one - with the option Purge replaced style.
