Prompt to open Read-only if License cannot be obtained

SCENARIO: A license can not be obtained from server or if the trial expires.

ACTION: Prompt to open the file in a read-only state. Inventor would only have access to view, measure, and plot tools.

I've heard that Revit works this way and it would be great to have ALL Autodesk apps work the same way.
