More Intuative Exploded Steps

More Intuative Exploded Steps

When creating an exploded assembly, I noticed when I would tag and move either on part or a few collectively that they would move together, which is what I would expect, but when I select "clear" to start a new explode step, if I had to go back and move those previous groupings of parts, I had to do it individually either by adjusting the distance value, or create another exploded step tagging them all again.  What a royal pain!!!!

What should happen, is after I have been able to create an exploded step, if I need to adjust its distance, RC on one step (that highlights/grabs all parts involved) select "Edit" or "Redefine" and it allows me to adjust all parts involved.  Instead of individually.

This process should be made simpler then what currently exists.

I agree. This should be simpler. If you can , please implement this change as soon as practical.

Hi Cadmanto,

I agree that there are lots of improvements needed, but you can make your life easier if you use the "Filter". Click the icon shown in the picture below:

You can toggle from "Assembly View" to Tweak View or "Sequence View". Read more about this functionality in the help.

You'll save a lot of time and more importantly aggravation.

Good luck!

I know about the filters.  I saw that in another posting.  Thank you for mentioning it though.

I just know (like you indicated) this process could be a whole lot easier.
