Format changes for values in content center tables

Format changes for values in content center tables

I'm trying to make CC items display in my BOM and on part lists how I want.

I can create custom categories to propogate with any of the fx parameters of CC parts that I want, through a comples series of expressions and code. My BOM and parts list display this exactly as I want, EXCEPT...the format of the unit.

For instance angles show up with decimal leg dimensions and fractional thicknesses...and decimal lengths. Why? Tube steel shows up with decimal thicknesses...but yet angles are fractional. There's no consistency, and in order to change it you have to perform an extremely complex series of tasks:

Why do you need to place a part, edit the parts parameters, save the part, then update the family template? Why on earth is there not a simple format change option in the CC family table editor?
