can auto balloon at least pick the near side of the part it's auto selecting.

usually it reaches across the part and the arrow gets buried on top of a line and becomes invisible.

I agree. Sometimes with large assemblies, after selecting "Around" alignment, you end up getting a spiderweb effect from all the leader lines crossing over the drawing and intersecting with the other balloon leaders.

Yes, Auto balloon is almost not worth it because I have to move all the arrows and balloons anyway to clean up the idw.
