Assembly detailing

Assembly detailing

We presently make details of our assemlbies for our shop to manufacture. We use a file name for the top level assemlby and as we make compoents for this top level assembly we use the file name and add 01,02,03 as a suffix. When we detail the prints we use several sheet for the assembly and then several more sheets to detail the components. When our package of drawings which could be 14 to 20 pages is sent to the shop floor there is typically a complaint that the guys on the floor cannot quickly find the items. It would be helpful to have the BOM have a column that suggested what sheets the items could be found on. It would also be nice if the balloons that were added for detailing components could be set to know what the item is instead of just coming in as number one for the items that are being detailed. Yes, all of this can be done manually but it leave room for error with revisions or design changes. I'm sure I could work this one out programatically with iLogic but we cant be the only shop that  this would be helpful for.
