Apply a Sheet metal "Face" feature to a (derived) surface

Howdy Inventor team,

A picture says a thousand words;

I believe that Inventor Sheet Metal users would benefit by having the ability to apply a Sheet Metal "Face" feature to a surface feature, such as a surface derived from another part. The current work-around that we employ for this workflow relies on the part "Thicken" feature.
