It would be beneficial to have the related files (such as drawings) visable in Vault Browser when working in an Assembly environment.
As Inventor is geared highly towards modeling from the assembly environment, most of our work is done there. When you check in your parent assembly file, all of the parts get checked in with it. Unfortunately, this does not take related files to those children such as their respective drawings. Although modeling in the assembly file and making updates to the parts would require the user to sometimes open the drawing and add dimension lines for new features, often it wouldn't as sometimes you are just stretching or pulling faces/features.
In situations where updates are necessary, maybe it would be a possibility to show the "lightening bolt" next to the drawing file to indicated a local update within that file is necessary.
This would save the user from having to open each drawing independently and adding them to vault one at a time however as their is currently no way to my knowledge to do this at the moment from within the Inventor program.
