Add 'Basic' symbol to the dim-edit text box

I would love to be able to select a bit of text and put a 'basic' tolerance box on it. I would use in when modifying dimension text. for example: 4 x 350 = 1400, the given dimension will be 1400 but I would like to take the 350 out of the parameters and make that value the basic tolerance. Now I have to use a sketch to draw a box around it. I have tried to use sketchblocks but they don't adjust the length when the value gets lager or smaller.
