Feature appearance to include "As Patterned" in drop down

Is there any chance to have the ability to have an option for feature appearance to include "As patterned" added to the drop down?

At present when multiple features which have been given different colours for their appearance are patterned the patterned features will default to being coloured "As Part". If the new pattern feature appearance is changed for example Red all features in that pattern will be coloured the same which is not what is desired. For now the only way around this is to change colour by faces, which can take alot of time dependant on how complex each feature is and how many features are patterened.
