xls file will not open or load

The problem is simpel or not.

I am busy with making a kite to learn how invertor works for school.

Now i have used a program to make a foil for me, now i have got a xls file for inventor to open and it will not open the file and plot the point that i need to make the foil. why won't it open the file and make the x and y points

Do you MicroSoft Excel on your system? Inventor requires Excel in order to work/open spread sheets along with a few other features such as threaded holes in Inventor.

Some people have had success using OpenOffice if you don't have the money to spend for Excel. Search this user forum for any issues and ways to resolve using OpenOffice as it's not officially supported by ADSK/Inventor.
