My employer has found it necessary against my recommendations to start working off our server network.
Some of the key changes are:
-my user level is changing from power level to "typical/regular" user.
-I typically worked local on my machine, then backed up my local folder to our server using the Windows 7 back-up tool, my employer wants me to move my work folder to the network. the server gets backed up nightly so I won't have to run the windows 7 backup tool anymore.
My questions are, can I expect any issues when transferring my work the server, is there any settings in Inventor that I need to update or change?
I did move some working files over to the server, updated the project file, opened the project up and everything seemed to work fine, we do have a gigabit LAN switch.
I feel that there is a lot more that needs to be done than just switching over the project folders?
Thanks!!
