workplane in ipart

I am trying to create an ipart of a casting so I can suppress the machined features easily.

For some reason, this workplane insists on being included as a feature to be used in calculating the iparts.  Inventor won't allow me to delete the column and when I try to generate the ipart, it fails because of this stupid workplane.

That certainly sounds and looks peculiar. The workplane should only show when you have the Work Features tab active in the iPart editor, and wouldn't normally show other features listed below like that.

Can you post the part file maybe?
