I am trying to insert a JPG iage in my IDW, but the "image" icon is greyed out?
Thx
Kev
Try editing your Title Block under Drawing Resources and place it there.
Another option would be to Define a new Sketched Symbol and place it there.
Hi there,
Same problem here, I'm wanting to insert an image onto a "front cover" of a multi sheet idw. There is no title block on this sheet!
Can you explain the "Sketched Symbol" solution a bit more for me?
Cheers
I'm probably wasting your time, but wasn't there something in 'the old days' where you had to make sure the default image program on the computer was MS Paint, or you would run into image file issues within Inventor? I have no idea if that is still valid in Win 7 and current Inventor, though.
Image is always grayed out.. Forgot why... Use Insert Object button right above it and select create from file..then pick your image. and for some dumb reason many times when I do that the visibility of the image is turned off.. Go to the 3rd party folder in the idw browser and right click on the embedded file and select visibility.
edit... found it.. The image icon is only selectable when you are editing a title block

or Sketched Symbol as I indicated in original response.
