Time and again in my class I refer the students to the wikihelp and it just isn't working.
Next year I am going to ask IT to install local help (if available).

The response seems to convey that never expected to experience a high volume of traffic for an online help site!!!

Yep, but setting up a bunch of web servers should have a so ridiculous cost compared to subscription fees, that it's not acceptable that autodesk doesn't lift a finger to fix this situation.

it sounds that (bad) user experience is exactly the same as before...
As somebody here said, it's like that Autodesk didn't expected such a success for it's online help system and hasn't scaled infrastructure consequently
You do realize "not changing anything" would leave help as online, right?
Guess you did not read it..
I put to fix the help.....
I also put to roll it back to when Inventor worked that would include putting the Help back where it was. I do not understand why the changed it. It was an awesome help before..
I guess they don't understand if its not broke don't fix it..
