Wiki Help is no help

Time and again in my class I refer the students to the wikihelp and it just isn't working.

Next year I am going to ask IT to install local help (if available).

Looks like it will be

Below a link to Ideastation : "Usable online helps"

Vote/Kudo for it  in order to push it in first line and put pressure on Autodesk

The response seems to convey that  never expected to experience a high volume of traffic for an online help site!!!

I guess they didn't expect the millions of users to actually try and use the help.

Yep, but setting up a bunch of web servers should have a so ridiculous cost compared to subscription fees, that it's not acceptable that autodesk doesn't lift a finger to fix this situation.

that why, i think  we have to put pressure on them.

Help services isn't the only expense of the operation...

My 2 cents: Revert to offline help permanently. "If it aint broke, don't fix it"

@Kskent,

look at post #22 of this topic

it sounds that (bad) user experience is exactly the same as before...

As somebody here said, it's like that Autodesk didn't expected such a success for it's online help system and hasn't scaled infrastructure consequently

You do realize "not changing anything" would leave help as online, right?

Guess you did not read it..

I put to fix the help.....

I also put to roll it back to when Inventor worked that would include putting the Help back where it was. I do not understand why the changed it. It was an awesome help before..

I guess they don't understand if its not broke don't fix it..
