why simplest things are not working ??????? why oh why

Hi,

I have quite simple part.

But can not close loop for extrusion.

In attachment you have ipt. inside there is one sketch and first extrusion I did. I want also to do the second one (for 10 symmetric) (you should see from sketch).

This is extremely annoying having to fight with this kind of bugs.

I intended to use this part to insert it in assembly.

Cris.

i too faces these sketch problems very often and its very irritating.

what i do now is-

- i delete those curves which are not coincident or not exdruding (you can see by using extrude command, where curve is breaking)

   and than again draw.

but i would like to see any good method for doing this.

Where is the *.ipt file?

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that you did something wrong.

Of course, the file would be required to diagnose the problem with your particular file.
