Why did the measure panel have to move in 2014?

I had many engineers asking me the past week where the hell the mearure tool went. It really had to be moved to the "inspect" tab? The tools tab was no longer a good place for a ruler?  What?  Obvisouly we just upgraded to Inventor 2014... Smiley Frustrated

Why why why does this kind of silly tinkering persist in Autodesk products?  Job justification for the coders?

Also, was there really a need to change the properties pulldown in vault to details? Really?  Someone was paid to make that all important change?

My suggestion, please stop messing with the stuff that works, and try fixing the broken stuff.  None of us can leave Inventor open over night, otherwise we get black windows in Inventor, can't move rotate parts & assembles with out restarting the software.

Also, you sell Inventor in a package coupled with game content creation softwate like Autodesk 3DS MAX and Mudbox, yet Inventor cannot export FBX, there is pitiful mesh resolution control when converting directly or via step. I have to go buy another $500 software package like nPower translator to make your bundled software work together!  How about working on making Inventor export fbx files, how about some mesh controls like Moment of inspiration (MOI) has?  How about supporting converting solids to SubD meshes between Inventor, MAX & Mudbox?   There are a lot of better things Autodesk could be concentrating on as opposed to moving the friggin measure tools.

It's in the "Inspect" tab.

Yes, I hate it when they move stuff for some apparent reason, unknown to me and others.
