Why can't i get this fillet to match the drawing? :(

Hi guys,

Having some issues getting the R5 fillet/arc to join the top end of the part to the cylinder that runs down, I tried face fillet but that doesn't give the desired result compared to the drawing.

I am attaching the drawing and .ipt file hoping someone can help me 🙂 Thank you!

Why not revolve (subtract) the angled surface first then add the fillet after that?

Hi! hfds006 is right. Based on the drawing, the round cannot be created just by a fillet. You need to apply a revolve cut based on a profile on XY plane or XZ plane just like the views show. You can either make the 5mm round with the revolve or as a fillet after that.

Thanks!

I would have done Sketch3 on the XZ plane and Extrude - Cut midplane through all rather than create a new workplane.
