Why are WorkPoints nonAdaptive?

...or can they be? I'd like to recreate/pull workpoints into a part, however only GroundedWorkPoints seem to be an option.. ..and I've already changed my design and have proven the obvious- that GWPoints aren't adaptive. Is there a reason for this? Or a preferred workaround? I'm shooting to 3d sweep a handrail thru some fancy brackets that contain path-WorkPoints. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

There are 2 types of workpoints.  Regular and
Grounded.  The regular workpoints can be placed on the intersection of axes
and/or planes and will move in position with regards to these planes/axes.
Grounded workpoints will not do so.

I would think the reason WPs can't be adaptive has
to do with the way they're defined.  There are too many options for a point
in space, considering that work planes can be tough enough on the adaptive
engine sometimes.  You have to have at least two other features to define a
point, as opposed to just one for a plane or axis.

size=2>I would say that to make a work point adaptive, you'd have to define it
off something that was adaptive.  For instance, if a work point was defined
as the crossing point of three planes, and the planes were adaptive, then the
work point would be (indirectly) adaptive.

Okay, this has some logic to it. Thanks Walt.
