White part appearing gray in IDW

How can I make a white part appear white in the IDW drawing ?  It will show as white decaying to gray or if I turn off the specular color, it appears gray.

To me it only worked if set self-ilumination on as here:

and so will making all the color options.. specular/emissive,etc.. being absolute white.

Thanks for your help.  It solved my problems.  Do you know how to make it work for decals ?  There is a color shift as well in IDW.  Above solution does not seem to work with images.

You need to turn sketch visibility on for that model in the drawing browser.
So right click on the model and select Include Model Sketches.

That should work for decals too.. as far as the color shift/gradients

The registry hack stopped working but can't remember from what version onwards, I think it was 2013 but not sure.

Is it working for you mcgyvr?
