Well if it's a know issue, then there should have been a issue number logged.

Troy,

I might need another cup of coffee, but I am not seeing the issue. Can you
explain what you mean by filling in one end? A screen shot of the issue
might help.

Thanks,

Troy,

Yes R9 has it. This is a faceting issue we fixed it in R10. In your first
post you said you see it in R10. Does it remain after a rebuild all?

Ah yes, thats it. I origionally just openend it up in R10 to see if the problem was still there, I didn't do a rebuild all, and just assumed it was a problem with r10

Troy,
The attached modeling technique results in a smaller file size for the same part. The two cylinders you created result in 6 extra faces (but not visible) plus extra sketches, coincident constraints, dimensions and a workplane that Inventor has to keep track of.

Very Nice JD,

Agreed, much nicer way to do it.

Thanks

This is interesting though. I think I found another bug.
Should be able to do an extruded intersection to get the same part, but doesn't work on this part.
If I make the circle larger than the helix then it works.

Thats a nice technique JD. I think you found a problem too. I will send it
to development.

Thanks,

Harold
