what is that???

Hi,

I have strange artifact in my part file. What is this in terms of software elements? This is what is left after original extrude and hole operations based on adaptive sketch first went out of this I-beam, and after were deleted. This remained.

Can you post the part, pretty tough to tell. It could even be a graphics issue on your machine.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

I do not see the artifact on my machine when I open the file.

Have you installed Service Pack 1 and Update 2?

Strange, after restarting computer (and some fight with WiFi) it is not there anymore.

But it was there before even after I closed Inventor and launched again.

Hard to tell without the actual problematic files, but it could be the sketch remnants of a Bolted Connection after the BC has been deleted with a standard Delete command. The preferred method is to RMB on the BC and Delete Design Accelerator Content or Delete Bolted COnnection Component (wording is from memory as Inventor is closed ATM). A standard Delete just removes the BC members but can leave the holes in the parts. Opening up the part/s the BC penetrated will show the holes still present. Deleting the holes at the part level will leave behing the sketches which then also need to be deleted.

Hi,

I am aware of issues involved in bolted connections created with Design Accelerator and for this reason I do not use them at all. I tried in the past but it required too much effort from me. I delivered that it much better for me to place components manually.

So this was surly not the that.

But since It is no longer there there is no issue now.

Thanks.

Cris.
