What is LM Tools Utility?

I have Inventor 2015 installed stand-alone.

 

What is LM Tools Utility from Flexera Software LLC?  I guess it snuk in with a download of utilities.  Is it any use to me?

That's what we use for Network license server/admin, etc. Where are you seeing this ?

If you're not using a network license server, then you don't need it.
