What If I'm forced to use non Inventor Nvidia OpenGL Application Setting?

I have a separate OpenGL application that will not run if I have my Quadro 1400 set for the Inventor Application setting. Specifically, through testing, I found I have to use a Solidworks certified driver with the OpenGL application set to Solidworks. (no it's not SW I'm talking about- it is software call Photopia that is funky). What do I lose by setting my OpenGL application selection to Solidworks?

Thanks in advance,
-Brian Cranston

IV10 does *not* require or even benefit, that I know of, from using the "Inventor" setting. Don't know what version of IV you're using though...

"For Autodesk Inventor® 10, Either the Nvidia default OpenGL setting or the Autodesk Inventor setting will work."

In the past it was actually recommended to set it to Solidworks. I'm not
sure there will be much difference.
