What have you done!!??

Whats happened to the point cloud tools in Inventor 2014!? I thought it was meant to be all new and fancy?

The option to edit cloud density is greyed out.

The performance is horrible, even on a small 2million point cloud.

Only 2 formats available, one of which does not maintain RGB data.

2013 ran nicely, was limited in options but this seems like a major downgrade.

Implementing recap is fine, IF it was optional. now i have to double handle the scan data. The whole process now takes longer.

Ajcraig99,

The default location for Recap is:

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk ReCap\recap.exe"

You can also check to make sure that it is listed in the Programs and Features.

If Recap is there and you  can run it, please login as a different user with admin privileges and see if it works from Inventor.

Please post an update.

Thank you.

It seems the .RCS files created by Recap do not get checked into the vault by default. So i have users unable to share projects through the vault because only the .RCP gets checked in.....

This is still an issue...
