What broke in the Equal Constraint?

I noticed this about a week ago. Please try this senarion and see if it
works for you.

Start a brand new part. Project the center point into the sketch. Make a
rectangle using the 2 point rectangle tool by starting on the projected
center point. Add a dimension a vertical leg. Now add an equal constraint
between the dimensioned vertical leg and a horizontal leg to make the
rectangle a square.

When I do it, IV gives me an error about this constraint will over constrain
the sketch, which is false. I swear I used to be able to do this! It seems
like if one of the objects has changed color indicating that it is fully
constrained, you can't add an equal constraint.

If you create the rectangle in free space (no coincident constraint with the
projected centerpoint) it works fine.

Am I losing my mind?

Mike

Excuse me, I realize that what I said is false. If one of the objects has a
dimension on it, you can't add an equal constraint.

You are right. But if you chose the other vert line that is not the
constrained color it will work.

You must have missed a thread or two, eh? Think Kent brought that
subject up many months ago and it's been reiterated many times since.
Welcome to the club!
