weld size fea

I am using inventor professional 2013.

I need help with analizing this aluminum pipe weldment. This part is clamped using 2 1/4-20 bolts thru the holes to a rigid wall. I want to know if the weld size is adequate to hold 200lbs load. How can I go about this ? Please see my questions.

1. We don't use the frame generator. Its just a simple assembly made of extuded parts. Should it be converted to a weldment to get weld fillet size results?

2. Should it be a ipt or iam? which is better?

3. Apart from the weld size, I want see if the pipe wall thickness is adequate enough to hold 200lbs load.

Are you aware of Weld Calculator tool in weld environment? It should be helpful to calculate your weld case.
