Weld Round stock to Flat stock?

How would you go about putting a weld on Round stock sitting on Flat stock?? i.e. 5/8" rod to a 2 x 5 tube.

TIA

Tony

I think you'd have to use the Cosmetic Weld for that.

Are the two pieces parallel or perpendicular with
each other?

The rod sits across the flat of the tube. The lentch of the rod is tangent to the flat of the tube.

You will have to use a cosmetic weld (like Brian
suggested).
