Volo View

We are using Volo View Express 2.0 to look at Inventor 6 idw's on the shop
floor. We are experienceing problems with it not showing counter bore notes
or GDT sysmbols. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix? Or
should we be using a different viewer?

Those symbols use the AIGDT True-Type Font, perhaps you need to copy those onto
those systems
(place in your Windows Fonts dir, double-click to register).

Sounds like a Font issue for these particular objects.

Do you also have the Object Enabler for IV6 installed for the VVE product ?

If the IV6 Object Enabler does not fix the problem and IF the VVE package
worked for IV 5 or 5.3, then I would have to guess there was a Font change
for the types of notes/symbols your are seeing problems with.

Are the Windows OS's the same ? Check to see if the Windows Fonts match.

Copy all of the IV6 Fonts, if this is possible, to a common location that
your VVE PC's can find and in the VVE Options add the Path to this folder.

Thanks.

http://support.autodesk.com/enu/Homepage.asp

Then select : Download Updates and Drivers

Then for Product : Volo View Express, For Release : 2, leave Catagory at
ALL. Select GO

It is the file Volo View Plug-in for AutoDesk Inventor 6 dated Nov-8-2002.

From the description, you need to have Volo View Express 2.01.
You will need to download VVE 2.01 from the AutoDesk web site first, then
from the location I mentioned above, download the Volo View Express 2.01
Service Pack 2 dated Nov-11-2002.

I would concentrate on the Font solution first however
