Visualization problem

When designing parts in-place, after the sketch environment has been
activated, I can’t no more have the assembly visualized as translucent as it
used to be in the previous releases of Inventor (5.3 for example): all parts
are displayed in solid colors.
I’d like to know if such behavior is a bug of release 6, an improper
setting of some display options, or a video card problem.

Any help will be appreciated.

Pulldown and click the opacity button (next to the ground shadow button).
It controls the manner in which the parts are displayed.
