Viewports in Inventor

Hi All,

Attached is a simple utility to create viewports in Inventor.
I would rather say - help organize Inventor document windows.

I have posted it in "autodesk.inventor.customer-files" with a subject
"ViewportsAddIn".

Take a look at it.

Cheers,
Tilz

Some information? Some screenshots?
What exactly does it do?

I would strongly recommend that you do not install this until we have more
information about the source of this program. It may or may not be
destructive, but the poster is not a regular.

Tilze, can you give us more information about yourself? More info on the
program?

Put it on my test machine and it didn't work. The pull down list of named views worked but not the icons. Never had any use for multiple viewports in a single file. Is this intended for a single file or to arrange mutltiple files in the window? (didn't work for that either - failed test)

Hi JD,

This is intended to arrange multiple files
(activedocument) in the window as shown in the attached screen
shot.

I could only get it to arrange multiple views of a single file and even then I could not get it to work consistently - in fact at first it would not work at all then it stopped working and I couldn't get it to work again. Looks like it needs more work.

Now if I could get it to work on dual monitors with multiple files...

You are right. It only arranges multiple views of a single file (the
activedocument).
Not working consistently - thats something I can take a look at.

You still haven't answered the question, "Who are you, and why should anyone trust an add-in you wrote?"
