Hi,

In a multi part ipt file, can we hide different solids and save under different view representation.

Example:  the ipt file has 10 solids.  I want to split in to 2 groups and save it as 2 different views.

Advantages:

1. I want quickly hide unnecessary parts and work on the required ones.

2.  In drawing view, i can show multlple views of top half and bottom half views seperately.

In assembly files, i can turn off the visibility of unnecessary parts.  But, here I am working on a multiple solid part file.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Hi,

The feature was designed but not implemented due to time frame. Other higher priority features were implemented instead.

I do use Product design suite 2012.  Probably I am missing the tric.

Please refer to the attachment.

This part has 2 solid parts.  I want to swith on off these parts.

For the love of God stop doing this! Stop adding half implemented features! What good are view reps in parts if they don't even work? Autodesk has time to play with the GUI every release but can't find the time to implement something that would actually save time!
