Video Upgrade

I am repeating a message I posted in the video card promo thread. I have an
ELSA GLoria III card, I've used for about a year (with IV5.3). I have been
very happy with it. How much different is the 750XGL? is it worth trading in
a one year old GLoria card or should I try to get more use out of it? Should
I expect my GLoria III card to perform much worse with IV6 than 5.3? I would
appreciate any insight.

Thanks,
kp

I do know that Ron Crain has had a world of problem with R6 and he has a
Gloria 3. You might look at his threads in the old support group or get a
hold of him directly. He's probably the current expert on Gloria 3 cards.

Yesterday we were informed of a special for a competing brand of software
which didn't require you to trade in an existing functioning card - for the
same price.

Ron, have you tried any of the XGL cards, if so how do they compare
(performance-wise) to the GLoria III?

Well, I'll be! I would suppose they'll get more in by the end of November.

Nope, haven't tried them.

I'm looking to move to them for Presenter3D - the new cards allow real-time
rendering which will help in setting up scenes.

Pretty silly of them to extend it when it's sold out.
However, The 550 XGL is still available.
