Thanks for the info on the iAssemblyTools, cbliss, it seems to be what I
need but I'm not sure... Maybe I need to ask a different question: What I
really need is to know how to create and manage libraries from custom
assemblies so I can re-use them anytime and modify dimensions (not
structure, or maybe sometimes)... Can I do this with iAssemblyTools?
Thanks in advance! :o)

iAssemblyTools is just way easier.
http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/iCode/InstAssemblyTools.zip
After installing it, open your assembly and you will see a new icon in
the tool browser. I is suppose to look like a hammer and a wrench.
Click on it. To replace a part, click on the part in either the browser
or the graphic screen. In the iAssembly dialog, double click on the
file name and you will be prompted for a new name. It will make a copy
of the part, replace the instance in the assembly on ask if you want to
replace all instances of that file or just the one you selected.
