vault 2008 problems

dell precision 490 desktop computer
2 intel zeon processor 3.0 ghz
8.0 G ram
nvidia quadro fx 3450/4000 sdi

autodesk AutoCAD 2008
autodesk inventor 2008
autodesk vault 2008

and vault drawings going to the server


i am having this problem with vault that when i open an assembly there is something total diferent there in its place. for example i opened a pneumatic regulator the view showes the regulator but when i edit it i get a ball valve. so if anyone have any ideas let me know please
