We can’t discuss any possible new features or function of Inventor (I hope you understand). But I would encourage you to add your suggestion of a Variable Helix to our Feedback section of our website. Below is the link to shorten your search.

Actually, Sam Bixlers solution works very well for for creating a variable pitch helix. I've used it several times with great success.

Yes i know about Sam Bixlers method

But it is a workaround

I suggest this to be an Standard Feature as like in coil cmmand or in helix command of 3d sketch

This would not be an difficult task for AUTODESK

But, until then this process works. It just requires a little math skills.

There are a number of lesser used features in every  3D model that require a bit different appoach. Yes, it would be nice, but there are a lot of features that would be used more, needing to be added.

No need to shout.

Where are augi's top ten wish list

why Autodesk has not added Centre Point rectangle

how many guys

how many times they requested here

Buying other company products and bundling with inventor doesnt make

Inventor a better Software

They could have been invested their money in developing inventor

Hi Ravikmb5,
I have read your post with some interest. I am creating a screw in Inventor with a variable pitch. Each time i transitioned to the next pitch you can see a sharp edge at the transitioning Position in the geometry. So i was wondering if there is a work around in Inventor to ensure you have a smooth Transition?

Thanks!
James
