Using API to transfer files from Inventor to CFD

Hello all, 

I have been using Autodesk Inventor to design some basic models and using Inventor Fusion to transfer them into Autodesk CFD. I would like to know (1) if there is direct way to transfer files from Autodesk Inventor to Autodesk CFD (i.e. not going through fusion). (2) How do I access the Autodesk Inventor API and use it to perform this transfer automatically.

I am obviously unfamiliar with the API used in Autodesk Inventor, I only know how to use the ilogic feature in Inventor and I am pretty adept with the Python API for CFD. Hopefully that gives some insight into the amount of help I need. I have been struggling with this problem for a bit now so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
