UpDateMassProperties

I just noticed that for some reason my update mass properties icon no longer works. I used to be able to make changes to my model hit the update mass properties icon button (pulled out of the customization menu under tools) RMB clicked on the top level assembly, checked the physical table and the accuracy is still set to low? This worked fine in the previous releases. I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Bill

Hello Bill,

It doesn't seem to be a matter of customizing the toolbar. You can get
this command from the Tools pulldown. Regardless of the method used to get
to iProperties, the Requested Accuracy on the Physical tab is set to Low.
I'll let you know if this was a purposeful change as it seems that previous
versions were not set to Low each time you opened that tab of the dialog.

Thank you,
Bryan

Hey Bryan,

I forgot that is was part of the tools pull down... Never the less, You are correct the physical table was always' set to low. Previously if there were any changes in any part of an assembly or part file the iProperties would default back to low, requiring an update. that requirement would translate it's self back to the top level .iam. The update mass properties would update all of the components to a high accuracy. I have some applications I wrote through VBA that update the mass properties, I even quickly wrote an update mass properties snipit today to just see if I could update it that way and it's not working through the API as well? It seems that the only way to get an accurate update is to literally get to the accuracy part of iProperties and manually pick High accuracy...

Thanks for your attention
Bill
