Is there a way to create a more stable flexible assembly?
We use a lot of pneumatic cylinders in our assemblies and want to chack range of motion etc.
We constantly get errors in the a flexible ssemblies and sub assemblies that do not exist!
We can open up any sub assembly, rebuild, and the error dissapears. If we then go back into the main assembly the error dissapears too, then suddenly, we get rebuild errors again for no apparent rerason.
This happens over different assemblies on different machines.
This is always a problem using Flexible sub-assemblies. Sometimes I think it's better to "replace" the flexible subs with constraints with min-max limits. If you go with flexible constraints and contact sets, you can actually move the part faster that IV can calculate the contact sets and pull cylinders apart. Then everything really goes for a dump.
Lots of similar problems are here, too.
I think, this should be improved without any entry in IdeaStation.

Hi Blair,
We add the travel dimensions to the cylinder, so it only moves within the stroke limits.
The problem seems to be with Inventors inability to handle the flexibility.
We have the same issues here constantly. Flexibility seems to work fine then it just starts giving us errors that don't exist. Once assemblies get larter we seem to start to have issues. We do the same workflow to correct the error at the subassembly level only to see it reappear once we try to move something. The functionality definitely needs some bugs worked out.
