Units for User Parameters

The units thing for User Parameters making things very difficult on me. example: "ul/in" will not solve instead I have to fake Inventor out buy throwing in a "1 in * ul/in" factor to get a in result. This is beyond me can someone shed some light on how to get around this units stuff and make inventor ignore units.

You have to match the units of the parameter. For example if the units of
the param are ul and you reference a parameter in the equation that has
units of inch... (e.g....

d0 = 5 in
userparam (in units of ul) = d0*3

you will need to multiply the equation by 1 ul / 1 in

so you'd have in * 3 * 1ul / 1 in = 3 ul

It's just a matte of canceling the units. Also keep in mind IV doesn;t know
what "in" is but it know what "1 in" is. You need a value to go with the
units.
