Hi and thanks for your help,

This is just a basic file, its having the same issue with all my files from Inventor 2013. I have installed all 3 service packs also.. its very frustrating although i will admit that i am a novice compared to most. Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers,

Brett

Actually All my files were done in Inventor 2013, some modifications were done in Autocad and had no problem with switching inbetween in the 2013 versions.  This original peice was for a stencil to extrude and twist to a Phi Geometry to test Viktor Schaubergers veiws on the acceleration of inward spiralling airflow in a fluid dynamics simulation program to check out the PV/T along with a vortex tube design.  From here I had designed a test engine/generator based on these results.  This basic shape was initially made and is experiencing the same issues I am experiencing with all of my files but does not offer any IP isssues for me in posting.

Another image from AutoCAD?  What is the compelling reason for using AutoCAD?

Try this -

run the List command on your geometry in AutoCAD.

What does List return?

Run the Explode command one time in AutoCAD.

Run the List command again (on individual items).

Can you edit now?
