Two views in idw in different positions

I need to show two positions of the same iam with a hydraulic cyl 1.in the
retracted pos. and 2. the extended pos. What do I need to do to show this in
my idw?

Design views on their own won't show different positions of same parts. So
the only way I think you can do this is a duplicate set of parts in
alternative positions and then use design views for visibility and views in
IDW. Messes up BOM though.
There might be a better way on one of the main IV sites (See Sean's weekly
FAQ)
