Two Colored Stripped Sweeps

I have made hundreds of feet of piping using general sweeps and typically select the properties of each sweep to properly color code the pipes. I now have a model where I need to make a length of pipe stripped colored (say blue and red) for ease of visual identification. How do I do this? I can't find anywhere to tell Inventor (2012) to make my color "two toned". Thoughts? I'm using AutoCAD Inventor 2012.

-Thanks

one guess would be to create multiple split surfaces along the pipe, then you can individually assign color to each split.

Alot of work I'm sure but I don't know any other way.

Thanks ampster.... Although a tedious method, its does work. Appreciate it!

Why not simply create a striped color style?

You can adjust the size of the stripes by changing the scale of the texture image.

You could also have the stripes run diagonally if you choose by changing the angle of the texture.

This would also keep your material properties valid.

Well, Inventor is stepping forward. Perhaps velocity could be improved ..Smiley Wink

With 2015 it's no big deal.
