Twist an Object

Is it possible to twist a bar shape. I have the inventor part file as well as a jpeg file of what the device should look like. Can anyone help me?, is it even possible with inventor or fusion.?

Yes, use Coil (helix) command.

You attached an assembly file (*.aim).

Assemblies without parts (*.ipt) are useless.

Here is the whole assembly. How would I set the helix with a slight twist then?

Your sketch isn't centered or fully constrained.

I don't have Inventor 2012, but I assume this is something like what you are after (I didn't bother to fix the alignment of the plates).

You will need a flat start and end to match the slots cut square to the flats.
