Tubing and Piping question

Is it possible to create a style that will put socket weld flanges at the beginning/end of the route and use socket weld elbows and couplings in between?

Seems like the styles prohibit using flanges AND couplings. This is something we do frequently.

Is this something we're going to have to do outside of the tubing and piping app? Place the connecting flanges first and then route between them? Using the Place/Place Fitting commands will insert a flange into the route, but not at an existing end or flange.

Just wondering if i'm missing something, and if not, what's the normal workaround?

With different start and finnish "fittings" I find it easier to place the starting and ending components and then run create the run.
