Ttitle block editing

I am trying to add sheet numbers to my template for my document. I know I have to use the Sheet Properties, Sheet Number then Drawing Properties, Number of Sheets but I cannot remember how to do this? I am using IV 2010. There used to be a Properties Field icon, but now I cannot find it? I RMB on the title block, select "Edit", then selected the location of the proeprty, then selected Sheet Properties, Sheet Number, but nothing shows up. I am obviously missing an important step?

Obviously I can't see what you're doing, so this is just a guess.  It sounds to me like you're not clicking the button (toward the right of the text editor dialog box) to actually insert the property.

Picking it from the dropdown list only chooses the property you want to insert - there's a second button to actually insert it.
