Trumpf Laser Help

Does anyone have good experience with this laser.
I am trying to cut 1/4" alum. and have a very hard time.
I am using a 4000 Watt machine.

I know this is not a web site for this conversation, but I didn't
know how else to get information.

Good luck!!

1/4" Aluminum is just hard to cut with a laser. We have 2 Mitsubishi
lasers one is a 3500 I believe and the other is a 4000. We don't touch
1/4" aluminum at all. We will only do 1/8".

I'm not sure why type of laser our sheetmetal vendor has but he can do up to
3/8" aluminum.

Our laser can cut up to 1/2" Alum. This should be a breeze for this machine. We are cutting the parts out but we are having a problem with the draws. I have been told we will have some draws left, I can live with that, it just that the draws we are getting is really stiff. Need a wire wheel to remove it.

All I know is that we can't cut too thick, maybe they have a specific
head for the laser that can cut aluminum better.

Dross is a difficult issue to resolve. Try cutting using high pressure nitrogen as your assist gas. It works better than shop air at these thicknesses.
