Anybody have a method of trimming a straight frame member to a curved on? an Example of a desired intersection is shown in red in the following sketch:
None of the built in frame end treatments likes this. i.e. I can select the straight member, but it will not recognise the curve.
THank you.

What version of Inventor?
In earlier versions -
Edit the part in the context of the assembly.
Copy Object as Surface from the second part to use to edit the first part.
Attach your assembly here if you can't figure it out. (only need the relevant files or make up a dummy assembly)

Hi there and thank you for the response.
I've got Inventor 2014.
Part to edit: A frame assembly ....
You are editing a part, not an assembly.
1. In the context of the assembly right click on the part to edit and select Edit Part.
2. Click on the Copy Object tool and set the output to Surface. Select the face of the second part.
3. Use the copied surface to Sculpt or Split your part.
Attach your assembly (or a representative assembly) here if you can't figure it out and end all doubt.
