Trig Disfunction ?

Hi,

On two computers the following incorrect answer  keeps showing up in iLogic but not on other computers.

Problem:

                Parameter(“x”) = a

                a = tan(180)

which gives x = 1.3386, when it should be x = 0

What might be the problem?

Has anyone run across this before?.

The answer is correct, you're just working with radians, not degrees.

Thanks for your quick help. Is there a setting where I can change radians to degrees? The 'Document Settings' show that the default should be degrees. No, iLogic always works in radians. You'll have to convert it in your code. If I remember correctly 360 degrees is 2*PI radians, so 180 degrees is PI radians.
