Transition on a cylindrical backplate

Hi All,

Is it possible to create a transition when the backplate shown in the picture is a cylinder?

I have tried several options, with 3Dpaths both nothing worked so far.
Maybe a workaround??
Regards
Danny

Hi!

You mean, movement around inside, or outside a cylinder? Yes it's possible.

Are you trying to constrain something to the slot?

if so, create a boundary patch and constrain your part to it with a tangent constraint.

Not really,
now I know how to attach a picture it is more easy to explain.

On attached picture the cylindrical path is visuable the roller has to follow that path around.
